About Us
Hello. This is KITO CUPS.
KITO CUPS began with something very simple — a love for cooking.
I have always enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, and as I cooked more, I found myself searching for the right plates, bowls, and cups to match each dish. I started collecting tableware from different places, and soon realized how deeply ceramics shape the small rituals of daily life.
Along this journey, I discovered the unique charm of handmade pieces.
Every artist has their own rhythm, their own glaze language, their own quiet personality that lives inside the clay. No two pieces are ever exactly alike — and that unpredictability, that warmth, is what drew me deeper into the world of handcrafted ceramics.
As the shop grew, we began visiting artists and studios whenever possible — in Japan, Korea, Jingdezhen, and beyond. Meeting the makers, seeing their process, and listening to their stories has become an essential part of who we are. Their passion, discipline, and tenderness toward their craft inspire the way we curate every collection at KITO CUPS.
Because we are primarily an online store, we take great care to present each piece as faithfully as possible.
We avoid excessive editing; instead, we focus on adjusting photos carefully to show the true color, texture, and feeling of each item. We hope that even through a screen, you can sense the warmth of hand-shaped clay and the quiet presence of an artist’s touch.
Our mission is simple:
to bring beautiful, thoughtful, handmade objects into your everyday life — pieces that make you smile without knowing why, that make a simple meal feel special, that bring a little more calm into your day.
We believe the things we reach for every day — the cup for morning coffee, the bowl for a quick lunch, the plate for dinner — should feel good in the hand and warm to the heart. Living with objects you truly love is its own kind of gentle happiness.
KITO CUPS is still growing, and we will continue to travel, meet artists, and share their creations with you.
If we ever open a physical space, we hope it will feel like a warm kitchen table — welcoming, sincere, and full of stories.
Thank you for being here.
We hope you find pieces that become part of your daily rituals, and bring small joys into your life.
