Polar Bear Choko Cup

These handcrafted Choko Cups by Mio Tomine blend playfulness and quiet simplicity in perfect harmony.
Each cup features a softly embossed polar bear wrapping around the exterior, paired with a hand-painted indigo rim on the inside — available in two distinct designs:

• Zigzag Rim: A rhythmic indigo pattern that adds a lively touch.

• Square Rim: A clean and minimal design of evenly spaced indigo squares.

Made and kiln-fired in Japan, every cup is slightly different, showing gentle variations in tone and glaze that reflect the warmth of handmade work. With a capacity of approximately 220 ml, this cup is ideal for coffee, tea, or small desserts. The soft ivory glaze and curved silhouette make it a comfortable and calming piece for everyday use.

Care Instruction:

• Before first use, soak the bowl briefly in hot water or boil gently to help seal the clay.

• Before serving, soak it in clean water to reduce staining from tea or sauces.

• After use, rinse promptly and dry completely before storing. Avoid soaking it with other dishes.

• Tiny pinholes, glaze crackles, and specks of iron are part of the handmade process and will develop a richer patina with time.

Each piece is handcrafted and individually inspected. Slight variations in color, glaze thickness, or form are part of its natural charm.
